Frieze fair lands in Seoul
The art world landed in Seoul this week for the inaugural edition of Frieze in Asia, as the vibrant South Korean capital looks to position itself as the region's next art hub.
Previous Frieze fairs have been held in traditional art capitals like London, Paris and New York, but industry experts say Seoul was a natural pick for the first Asian edition of the prestigious event.

WaPo opinion piece: Greece should be the keeper of Parthenon marbles
Now that times have changed and Britain is leaving the European Union, it's time to reconsider Greece's claim for the return of the Parthenon sculptures, according to an opinion piece in the Washington Post published this weekend.
Despite the differing opinions today, the author notes, the case is stronger than ever that they should return to Athens, the cradle of Western culture.

The color and design of the Parthenon frieze
Renowned Greek artist and Athens School of Fine Arts professor Pavlos Samios will present a short film and discuss the composition, scale, colors and techniques used in the frieze of the Parthenon temple on the ancient Acropolis at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York on Thursday.

Ancient wall frieze found in Zonguldak
Officials from the Ere?li Museum Directorate have found a nearly 2,000-year-old and 100-kilogram wall frieze in a village in the Ere?li district of Zonguldak province in northern Turkey.
The frieze is a sculptured stone depicting a number of figures and is around one meter long.
