Bulgaria: Sharp Increase in the Price of Methane, Propane-Butane becomes Cheaper
A sharp increase in the price of methane, which is used by cars equipped with methane systems, has been registered in recent days. The average price of methane is currently BGN 4.65 (EUR 2.38) /kg according to the data of the specialized platform fuelo.net and it increases literally by the hour.

"For now, the price of thermal energy set on July 1 remains unchanged, but if there is a dramatic change in the price of components and natural gas, it is possible to get it updated on January 1 next year."
Russian Exporters of Liquefied Gas will deliver to Bulgaria via Georgia

IEA: Gas Consumption will Shrink because of Russia
Gas consumption will contract slightly this year due to high prices and reduced volumes of Russian gas to Europe, and will see only slow growth in the coming years as consumers switch to alternative energy sources.
In its latest quarterly report on gas markets, the International Energy Agency (IEA) cut its forecast for global gas demand in half.

Germany said yesterday it would raise the alert level under its emergency gas plan to secure supply following the recent reduction of pipeline supplies from Russia.

The Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnection (IGB) has started test gas supplies, the project company ICGB AD told Trend news agency.
"We have started test deliveries with real quantities of natural gas, as planned. However, this is not the beginning of commercial exploitation," the ICGB said.
