Artificial sun breaks temperature world record in huge boost for nuclear fusion
Researchers were also able to keep the plasma stable for over 100” which is a critical element of harnessing nuclear fusion as a source of energy
World’s largest Tokamak fusion reactor powers up
In concept it’s a simple machine & achieving fusion is relatively easy but in practice it’s extremely difficult to maintain a sustained fusion reaction that generates more power than is fed into it

ITER Project - Bulgaria's Way to New Energy
Did you know that there are 35 countries in all parts of the planet, including Bulgaria, currently working on an artificial sun? And no, that does not mean a big fiery ball illuminating the sky, it is an effort to create nuclear fusion in a sustainable way, and to generate electricity in unlimited amounts.

Fusion power: Goodbye fossil fuels?
âWe would like to get to a prototype (of a nuclear fusion reactor) in five generations,â said Dr. Thomas McGuire, the director of the Revolutionary Technology division at Lockheed Martinâs famed Skunk Works. âIf we can meet our plan of doing a design-build-test generation every year, that will put us at about five years, and weâve already shown we can do that in the lab.â
