Gökçeada Airport

The Aegean resort island of Gökçeada is on the verge of environmental damage from plans to construct a gold mine, prompting criticism from authorities and residents of the island.

The northeastern province of Artvin?s ?av?at district has been declared a ?slow city? by the Cittaslow 2015 general committee. 

At a press conference, Artvin Governor Kemal Cirit said that the committee made the decision between June 21-23 in Milan. He added that the title was very important for the future of the district.
