Gümüşlük

Around 45 citizens living in the Gümüşlük district of the western Turkish resort town Bodrum came together to protest a garbage dumping site in the area, saying it poses a threat to public health and safety, Doğan News Agency reported on March 11.

The 14th International Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival, organized in the western province of Muğla's resort town Bodrum, continued on Aug. 31 with a concert by young flutists at Toprak Ev. 

The 14th Bodrum International Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival began on July 26 with a concert by French violinist Gilles Apap and accordionist Myriam Lafargue in the centuries-old historical Koyunbaba Ancient Stone Pit in the Aegean resort province of Bodrum. 

The 14th Bodrum International Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival is set to be held between July 24 and Sept. 4. Organized by the Bodrum Classical Music Association, the festival will be in three different concepts this year. 

Illegal excavations that have been continuing for the last three months in the ancient city of Myndos in Bodrum's Gümüşlük neighborhood have elicited the anger of locals due to the lack of any action to halt the activity.
