Woman opens coffee house only for females
A woman in the eastern province of Elazığ has converted a coffee house inherited from her father into a venue only for women of the Hal village, İhlas News Agency has reported.
"We, female villagers, are happy to be together, joining ourselves," 55-year-old Ayşe Günay told the news agency.

Local man makes living out of getting beaten up
A Turkish man in Istanbul has been making a living out of getting beaten up for 11 years, "helping" those who want to "relieve stress."
Hasan Rıza Günay set up his own business in 2010, inspired by Turkish comedy legend Kemal Sunal's iconic movie "Şark Bülbülü" (Eastern Nightingale).

Solar energy plant to be built on Galatasaray stadium
Galatasaray sealed a deal with Turkish energy company Enerjisa on March 9 that will install a solar energy power plant on the roof of its football stadium that will produce electricity for the venue.
Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz, club officials and Enerjisa CEO Murat Pınar attended the signing ceremony at Istanbul's Turk Telekom Stadium.
Man Shot his Wife and his Heighbor, Believing they were Lovers
A double murder was committed in the Kozlets village of Haskovo. The incident was about 9.30 am. A 44-year-old woman and her 48-year-old neighbor were shot dead. The suspected perpetrator, a 45-year-old man with whom the woman lived, was detained.
According to the original unofficial data, the killer believed that his wife and neighbor were lovers.
IPA Prix Voltaire given to Turkish publishers

If found guilty, their sentence could be up to 43 years in jail.

The cross of a 12th century Byzantine chapel, located outside the ancient city of Myra in the southern province of Antalya, has reportedly been stolen.
Demre District Governor Murat Uz said an investigation has been opened into the theft, and they believe the 20-centimeter long marble cross was stolen in the last three or four days.

Government launched probe into former culture minister over tenure
