Prominent cartoonist laid to rest
Renowned Turkish caricaturist Latife Demirci, who lost his life on June 5 at the age of 61, has been laid to rest in Istanbul on June 7, following a funeral service attended by prominent figures of the Turkish media and art worlds.
Demirci, who was known as the "father of many cartoon characters," was drawing caricatures on the front page of the daily Hürriyet.

Demirci to be laid to rest in Istanbul on June 7
Prominent Turkish cartoonist Latif Demirci, who lost his life at the age of 61 on June 5, will be laid to rest in a funeral service in Istanbul on June 7.
Demirci, known as the "father of many cartoon characters," had a fatal accident at home where he badly fell. Despite all the efforts of doctors, he could not be saved.

Prominent Turkish cartoonist dies at 61
Latif Demirci, a prominent Turkish caricaturist who was known as the "father of many well-known cartoon characters," has died at the age of 61 in Istanbul.
"We lost my dear friend this morning [June 5]. I am in deep agony," columnist İhsan Yılmaz said in a tweet announcing the death of the cartoonist.
