Turkey's GSM operators -- Turkcell, Vodafone and Türk Telekom -- posted 23.9 billion Turkish liras ($4.23 billion) net sales in the first half of 2019, state-run communications agency said on Oct. 15.

Turkey's largest mobile operator Turkcell increased its net income by 2 percent to 2.02 billion Turkish Liras in 2018.

Turkey's telecom giant Turk Telekom reported a net loss of 1.39 billion Turkish Liras ($267 million) for 2018 versus 1.13 billion liras of profit the company posted in 2017.

Türk Telekom has reported a net profit of 1.1 billion Turkish Liras ($299 million) in 2017 after a loss of 724.3 million liras the previous year. 

Turkey's largest fixed-line operator, Türk Telekom, is talking to banks to raise a loan worth up to $500 million, which it plans to close before year-end, banking sources said on Oct. 26.

The five-year deal will be syndicated with a club of regional and international banks, and is being coordinated by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the sources said.

Turkish lender I?bank has begun negotiations for the sale of its 7.44 percent stake in mobile operator Avea, the bank said in a filing to the stock exchange on April 22.

Türk Telekom offered on April 22 to buy the remaining $300 million stake it doesn?t already own in mobile company Avea, a deal that would allow it to avoid having to float the struggling wireless firm.
