These days, one of the main topics of discussion in Turkey is far from sports and its ethics due to the approaching referendum. However, with the latest news that added three more Turkish national athletes to the long chain of Turkish sportspeople who have been tested positive with doping, I wanted to write about the need for doping.

Victims of Adana dormitory fire disaster identified
Twelve bodies retrieved from a fire disaster at an all-girls' dormitory in the Aladağ district of the southern province of Adana were identified late on Nov. 30, Doğan News Agency has reported.
'Mustang' honored by EU parliamentarians
"Mustang" has been picked by European parliamentarians as the winner of the 2015 Lux Film Prize.
Directed by French-Turkish filmmaker Deniz Gamze Ergüven, the film tells the story of how five Turkish sisters living with their grandmother after their parents' death try to escape forced marriage.

Eurimages to support Turkish films
The Board of Management of the Council of Europeâs Eurimages, European Cinema Support Fund, has agreed to support 20 film projects of feature films and two animated films for a total amount 8.3 million euros.

Family of killed miner files first compensation lawsuit over Soma disaster
The family of one of the 301 workers killed in the Soma disaster has filed a compensation lawsuit against the mineâs operator and the state-run Turkish Coal Enterprises (TKÄ°) regional institution in a first case of its kind since the May 13 incident.
