Smugglers Make £1million a Day Trafficking Migrants

The Mediterranean migrant crisis is being fuelled afresh by criminal gangs making £1million a day smuggling over tens of thousands from as far away as Bangladesh, reported The Sun. 

An investigation by MPs found that while the number of war refugees from Syria crossing to Italy is going down, illegal immigrants from the poor Asian country are spiralling.

Hüseyin Gülerce is a witness of the case against journalists working for the daily Cumhuriyet.

Gülerce is also the "informer-witness" who led to the arrest of the journalists of daily Sözcü and an arrest warrant against the newspaper's owner.

He was an important member of the Gülenist gang until the Dec. 17-25, 2013, probes targeting the government.

t least 28 prisoners died and 3 were injured during an uprising in a Mexico prison. The altercations between different groups started in the center for social rehabilitation in the morning, reported by Reuters.

The reason for the conflicts is the constant struggle for power and competition between rival gangs inside the prison.

Criminal Albanian gangs ready to resort to “serious violence” have “considerable control” over the drug trafficking market in the UK, a National Crime Agency (NCA) report has revealed.

The gangs, which use London as their primary hub but are established across the whole of the UK, have been found to have a particular influence on the cocaine market.
