Things heat up at the Release Festival at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in Palaio Faliro on Athens's southern coast on Wednesday, June 19, as American metal act Clutch, known for its high-energy shows, makes its first appearance at a big open-air venue in Greece.

Atlanta, Georgia-based garage-rock act Black Lips is coming to Athens's Gagarin 205 venue on Thursday, August 24, with tracks from its new album - "Satan's Graffiti or God's Art?" - as well as older hits that underscore the act's dirty, rock 'n' roll vibe.

The iconic Washington-based band that helped shape garage rock and punk worldwide, The Sonics, is coming to Athens for a single show at Gagarin 205 on Saturday, April 29.
