Sotheby's estimates that a jersey worn by US basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who died almost three years ago in a tragic helicopter accident, will sell for up to $7 million next month.

Kobe Bryant's widow was awarded $16 million as part of a $31 million jury verdict Wednesday against Los Angeles County for deputies and firefighters sharing grisly photos of the NBA star, his 13-year-old daughter and other victims killed in a 2020 helicopter crash.

When it comes to sporting events, all is up in smoke, or shall we say all up in the air. This is the current situation worldwide, and unfortunately the fate of the NBA playoffs is still to be established. Whilst we all hope that all the games will resume with playoffs being played in June 2020, we are still not sure.

Nearly 2 million people have signed an online petition to use Kobe Bryant's image as the new logo for the National Basketball Association following the death of the Los Angeles Lakers great.

Kobe Bryant, the NBA legend who played with the Lakers for 20 years, was killed in a helicopter, which burst into flames when crashing in California on Sunday morning. His 13-year-old daughter Gianna was also among nine people on board the plane.

Kobe Bryant, one of the NBA's all-time greatest players and an athlete of global renown, was killed at age 41 on Jan. 26 in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles along with his 13-year-old daughter and seven on board, officials said.
