Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, June 24 in Belgrade, organizers have announced.

Pride Weekend, June 23-26, during which Pride walk is held, is organized by Citizens' Association Egal, Loud & Queer, and the Gay Lesbian Info Center.

The Alperen Hearths, an ultranationalist youth organization linked to right-wing nationalist Great Union Party (BBP), has threatened the LGBT Pride March set to take place on June 25 in Istanbul's Taksim Square, vowing to prevent the march from taking place. 

BELGRADE - Gay pride marchers have rallied in central Belgrade amid a massive turnout of riot police and security officials aimed at preventing unrest that had marred previous rallies.

The Belgrade gay parade was held on Sunday under the slogan "Love Changes the World" without any incidents.

Organizers said this was a historic Belgrade Pride parade as it moved from Slavija Square "to the heart of Belgrade."

BELGRADE - A pride parade will take place in Belgrade on September 18,  Boban Stojanovic from the Pride Parade Organizing Committee said on Tuesday.

At a conference on homophobia in Serbia held on the occasion of International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, he described as important the fact that the gay pride march would go through downtown streets.

Montenegrin LGBT activists hope to walk the streets of the capital, Podgorica, for the third Gay Pride March, set for December 13.

The organizer of the parade, Queer Montenegro, an NGO, on Wednesday said it had decided to change the route from the one used during the previous two years.

The U.S. State Department's first-ever Special Envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) people, Randy Berry, has expressed the U.S.'s concern over the police crackdown on the annual Pride March in Istanbul on June 28. 

Organizers of the Belgrade's Pride Parade 2015 said they were satisfied with the "atmosphere" ahead of the gay march scheduled at noon on Sunday and they believe the event will be peaceful although Pride Parade has a turbulent history in Serbia.

Veteran British rockstar Elton John on Sept. 12 said Ukraine still had "a long way to go" in its treatment of the gay, bisexual and transgender community at a conference in Kyiv.

Montenegrin NGOs LGBT Forum Progress and Hiperion announced on Sunday that the first ever Gay Pride march in the town of Niksic will be held in September under the slogan "Stop fascism - freedom to the people".
