Berlin, Kiev at odds over Russian gas pipeline
Germany said on July 8 it hopes to convince Canada to deliver a turbine needed to maintain the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, with Russia waiting on the machine's arrival before increasing supplies.

Regulator urges Germans to prepare for possible gas shortage
Fearing Russia might cut off natural gas supplies, the head of Germany's regulatory agency for energy called on residents Saturday to save energy and to prepare for winter, when use increases.
Federal Network Agency President Klaus Mueller urged house and apartment owners to have their gas boilers and radiators checked and adjusted to maximize their efficiency.
Germany raises gas alert level after Russia dwindles supply
Germany said yesterday it would raise the alert level under its emergency gas plan to secure supply following the recent reduction of pipeline supplies from Russia.
Countires reverting to coal
The Dutch have joined Germany and Austria in reverting to coal power following an energy crisis provoked by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Netherlands said it would lift all restrictions on power stations fired by the fossil fuel, which were previously limited to just over a third of output.

Greece – Bulgaria NG pipeline undergoes last test
The small, in length, but strategically important IGB pipeline, which connects the Bulgarian system with the Greek natural gas transmission system and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), will start commercial operation, next month, in July. Today (17 June) the pipeline will undergo final testing with the introduction of the last quantities of 1.5 million cubic meters of gas.

Gazprom supplies 41.9 million cubic meters of Gas to Europe via Ukraine
Gazprom continues to supply natural gas to Europe through Ukraine. This was announced today to the media by the spokesman of the Russian holding Sergey Kupriyanov, quoted by TASS.
Bulgarian PM expects Azeri Gas Imports via the Interconnector with Greece in July
"It is possible that the Greek gas connection will start operating in July", said Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in response to a question from the Bulgarian National Radio.
"Everyone predicted September, October, November - no, it will open in July," the prime minister said today in Veliko Tarnovo.
Bulgaria: What is the Price of Natural Gas for June
The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission approved the price of natural gas, as of June 1, 2022, in the amount of BGN 141.36 / MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT). At this price, Bulgargaz will sell natural gas to the final suppliers of natural gas and to persons who have been issued a license for production and transmission of heat.
Natural Gas in Bulgaria will be Cheaper this Month
The price of natural gas in Bulgaria in June will be lower than in May.
This became clear after the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWR) published the proposal of the state supplier Bulgargaz, proposing that the price of gas for June be BGN 141.28 / MWh.
For May, EWRC approved the price of natural gas of BGN 162.17 / MWh.
