Turkey creates emergency disaster centers in all 81 provinces
Emergency disaster centers have been established in all of Turkey's 81 provinces and a single radio communication line for separate institutions of disaster management in the country has been set up, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has said.
Over 100 historical artifacts seized in SE Turkey
Some 113 historical artifacts have been seized in an anti-smuggling operation in southeastern Turkey, a security source said on Feb. 1.
Acting on a tip-off, gendarmerie forces conducted a raid in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep province, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Gendarmerie units in the Aegean province of Manisa have found the bodies of four young men lying motionless near a car, three of whom were shot dead in their heads and another with a broken neck.

650-year-old Bible seized in Tekirdağ
Two people were detained by the gendarmerie teams in the northwestern province of Tekirdağ over the seizure of a manuscript Bible, which is considered to be 650 years old.
It was reported that the suspects had been looking for customers to sell the Bible, which is embroidered on gazelle skin, for 3 million Turkish Liras.

Turkey Launches Mass Arrests of Alleged ‘Gulenist’ Military Officers

The arrests came after prosecutors in the city of Izmir on Tuesday ordered the detention of 238 serving and former military officers including high-ranking soldiers.
A total of 218 of the suspects are still serving in various branches of the Turkish Armed Forces and Gendarmerie.

511 Turkish citizens from Iraq isolated over coronavirus
A total of 511 Turkish nationals who arrived from Iraq were quarantined on April 7 for 14 days to prevent the spread of
the novel coronavirus, according to local sources.
The passengers, who arrived at noon at Esenboğa Airport in the capital Ankara, were transported to Afyonkarahisar province on 23 buses accompanied by police and gendarmerie.
Vehicle carrying migrants overturns in Çanakkale, 32 injured
At least 32 people were injured on Dec. 26 when a truck carrying irregular migrants crashed in the Aegean Turkey, according to initial reports.
The truck overturned in Çanakkale's Ezine district while it was carrying 50 irregular migrants.
The injured were referred to hospitals for treatment, with seven of them sustaining serious injuries.
Nearly 1,924 liters of bootleg alcohol seized in Turkey
Nearly 1,924 liters of bootleg alcohol was seized by police on Dec. 24, according to security sources.
In Çanakkale, teams of provincial gendarmerie command conducted operations in addresses previously set in Ezine district said a security source on condition of anonymity.
The operation seized 688 liters of bootleg alcohol in bottles bearing various brands, the source added.
