Powerful explosions in Kyiv, Sirens for Attacks across Ukraine

Powerful explosions were heard early this morning in Kyiv, air raid sirens were triggered not only in the capital but throughout Ukraine.

The blasts in Kyiv have been the most powerful in the region since Russian troops withdrew from that part of the country in preparation for battles in southern and eastern Ukraine. No damage has been reported so far.

Mariupol is going to fall?

Defense and security analyst Professor Michael Clark gave the analysis to Sky News.
As he stated, that is "completely credible" and that it is "almost certainly" true.
He believes that Mariupol will probably fall "in a few hours, not days" and that a dramatic development could happen overnight.

Russia reports that 1,000 Ukrainian troops surrendered in Mariupol

Russia's Defense Ministry said today that more than 1,000 Ukrainian servicemen had surrendered in Mariupol, a strategic port in eastern Ukraine that has been under siege by Russian forces for a month, AFP reported.

"In Mariupol, 1,026 Ukrainian servicemen from the 36th Naval Brigade voluntarily laid down their arms and surrendered," the ministry said.

Group under Greek-Russian Businessman Sends Aid to Ukraine Separatists

An association of Greeks in Russia led by Greek-Russian businessman Ivan Savvidis has sent cars and generators to pro-Russian separatist authorities in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, the Donetsk News Agency reported on April 10, saying that the donations would be used in providing medical aid and humanitarian assistance.

Britain is checking to see if Russia has used Chemical Weapons in Mariupol

Britain is trying to verify reports that Russia used chemical weapons in an attack on the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol, Foreign Minister Liz Truss said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia could use chemical weapons against his country, but did not specify whether this has happened so far.
