Four children and three adults were found dead yesterday at a rural property near the Margaret River wine region in western Australia, in an apparent murder-suicide with two weapons found nearby.

Scientists are still discovering full skeletons that lay buried in the little-known “Murder Island” almost 400 years after Australia’s first and biggest mass murder, 60 Minutes reports.

The blaze started in the Lane-Poole Reserve near the city of Perth in the state of Western Australia and was reported early on Wednesday morning, while it has already burned more than 11,000 hectares.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued a warning statement claiming that the fire is threatening human lives and homes, since it is moving fast.
