A Turkish entrepreneur has established an official betting system particularly for camel and horse races and sporting competitions in Ghana, with his company reaching 100,000 people on a monthly basis and creating 2,000 jobs.

Lithuania is perceived to be the country with the most widespread government corruption, according to an international survey conducted by Gallup in 40 countries (Greece was not included). Gallup conducted phone interviews to countries with a free press asking respondents whether they believed there there was extensive corruption in their governments.
Accra gas station kills at least 78
At least 78 people lost their lives in an explosion in Accra, the capital of Ghana, at a gas station.
Most of the people at the gas station were taking shelter from the torrential rain. The explosion has been judged to have been an accident, so far.

At least 90 killed in Ghana petrol station fire
At least 90 people were killed in a fire at a petrol station in Ghana's capital, Accra, as they sought shelter from heavy rains that caused widespread flooding, emergency services said June 4. The fire broke out at the filling station in the Kwame Nkrumah Circle area of the city late on June 3 night and is thought to have spread from a nearby residence.

“Traditional African Murals” exhibition in Belgrade
BELGRADE - The exhibition entitled "Traditional African Murals" by Natasa Njegovanovic Ristic will be opened at the Museum of African Art in Belgrade on Tuesday.
The exhibition will display photographs of painted, relief and mosaic decorations used in house exterior and interior design and settlements in different parts of the African continent.
Serbia move up to 38th in FIFA world rankings
ZURICH - The Serbian men's national football team has moved up eight positions in the latest FIFA world rankings and is set to end the year in the 38th position.
Serbia now have 713 points and are behind Scotland (729) and Ghana (714), and ahead of Guinea (706) and Cape Verde (693).
