BELGRADE - Head of the Serbian government office for Kosovo Marko Djuric met on Friday with mayors and heads of provisional authorities in the Kosovsko-Pomoravlje District, eastern Kosovo, to discuss long-term economic development.

ISTOK - Minister for Communities and Returns in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic said Monday that an attack had taken place on the property of the Serb returnee family Spasic from the village of Djurakovac in the municipality of Istok, in the western part of the southern Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija (KiM).

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, on Monday praised the country's police for rounding up 40 suspected Islamist militants, saying that “Kosovo will not be a shelter for extremism.”

“We will never allow our country to become a source of criminal and terrorist acts that threaten peace and stability,” she said.
