Petrol ranks 9th by total revenue in SE Europe
Ljubljana – Slovenian energy company Petrol ranked ninth by total revenue for 2020 in the SEE TOP 100 ranking of the largest companies in SE Europe, published by business news portal SeeNews. Romanian company Automobile Dacia, a unit of French Renault, was ranked first with EUR 3.8 billion in revenue.

Hisense Europe makes loss in 2020, profit in last 14 months
Velenje – The Hisense Europe Group generated just under EUR 2 billion in sales in 2020, more than 97% of which came from home appliances. It ended the year with a loss of EUR 12.8 million, of which Gorenje’s loss was EUR 11.5 million. Nevertheless, the group has been generating profit in the last 14 months, Gorenje said in a release on Thursday.
Govt, Hisense sign contract on EUR 1m incentive for TV plant
Velenje – Representatives of the government and the Chinese-owned group Hisense Europe Electronics signed on Monday a contract under which the state will provide almost EUR 1 million in non-refundable funds for its TV production plant at the existing Gorenje operation in Velenje.

Hisense Gorenje hiring additional workers as orders grow
Velenje – The Velenje-based maker of household appliances and TV sets Gorenje, a part of the Chinese group Hisense, is reporting increasing orders for the coming months and is hiring additional workers, mostly at the newly opened TV plant.
Gorenje launching TV sets production, expanding workforce
Velenje – Gorenje, the Chinese-owned household appliances maker, is launching production of TV sets in Velenje this week. More than 350 workers are already working at the Hisense Europe Electronic factory, and their number is to increase to 520 by the end of the month. As of next week, around 800 TV sets are to be produced a day.
Gorenje expanding workforce
Velenje – Gorenje, the Chinese-owned household appliances maker, has hired around 800 extra staff since mid-August to meet an increase in orders, and is planning to open 300 more jobs by the end of the year.
The company said part of the expansion in staff was to replace existing staff who are being moved to a facility manufacturing TV sets, to be launched in January.

Fiat, Hesteel, and Gazprom-owned companies top Serbian list
Topping this list is Fiat (FCA) Serbia (majority-owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), that sold cars worth EUR 599.6 million, followed by HBIS Group (owned by China's Hesteel), who operate the Smederevo-based steel plant - and have exported products worth EUR 581.4 million in this period.
France ties development "with respect to mutual interests"
They spoke about bilateral relations between the two states and the upcoming visit of that countrys president Emmanuel Macron to Serbia, the Serbian government announced.
The two officials agreed that Serbia and France are reliable partners and that this year political dialogue has reached the level and dynamics that have not existed in many years.
