Petkovic meets with UNMIK head
BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic met with UNMIK head Caroline Ziadeh on Friday to discuss the political and security situation in Kosovo-Metohija and an October 30 UN Security Council session on a report on the work of UNMIK, the UN Mission in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija.

The meeting at the UN headquarters in New York will consider the UN secretary-general's latest report on the work of the UN mission (UNMIK) in Kosovo and Metohija, covering the period between July 16 and October 15.
Former Kosovo minister joins Serbia's Office for Kosovo
The Serbian government has appointed Ljubomir Maric as assistant director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Tanjug learned from this Office.
Maric will deal with issues related to the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo, and with coordination of local self-governments in Kosovo.
Government offers guarantees for Oliver Ivanovic
Thee government has given the EULEX mission in Kosovo guarantees for Oliver Ivanovic, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced on Monday.
The guarantees state that the Serb politician from northern Kosovo "will be available to judicial authorities in case of repeated proceedings against him."
