Parliament Officially Goes into Election Vacations Until October 25 Inclusive
Parliament officially goes on election vacation from today until October 25 inclusive.
During this time, only the standing parliamentary committees will meet, and only the transport costs associated with their participation will be credited to the deputies.
The first regular session of the National Assembly following the local vote will be held on 31 October.
The Eiffel Tower Goes Dark
The Eiffel Tower in Paris went off. The lights of the symbol of France were switched off on Thursday evening, in memory of Jacques Chirac. The President (1995-2007) passed away at the age of 86. Monday was declared a day of national mourning in France.
The Élysée Palace will be open until Sunday so that the people can express their condolences.

Moscovici condemns 'attack against our way of life'
European Economics Commissioner Pierre Moscovici has condemned the early Monday bomb attack against Skai TV.
"Press freedom is one of the pillars of European society. Every attack on it is an attack against our way of life, our principles and our values - an attack on all Europeans," Moscovici said in a tweet.
The blast caused extensive damage but no injuries.
