KRG selling oil independently of Baghdad: Deputy
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has begun selling crude oil from the region and Kirkuk independently and will receive payments without going through Baghdad, a Kurdish MP said in the Iraqi Parliament on July 8, according to media organization Rudaw.

136 criminal suspects flee to KRG
Northern Iraq has become a popular new destination for criminal suspects fleeing Turkey, apparently taking over the mantle from their previous favorite, Turkish Cyprus.
Some 136 suspects charged with murder, rape, theft, smuggling, or drug trafficking, have recently escaped to northern Iraq, particularly the provinces of Zaho, Dohuk and Arbil.

Iraqi Kurdish PM says US-led coalition against ISIL faces long war
Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani warned that despite victories in the war against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the global coalition against the group was inadequate and predicted a campaign to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul would not happen before the fall.
