Chopin waltz unearthed after 200 years
An unknown waltz by Chopin, written nearly 200 years ago, has been discovered in the vault of the Morgan Library and Museum in New York.
The score, on a card bearing Frederic Chopin's hand-written name, was found by a curator in the spring, the New York Times reported on Oct. 28.

Chopin museum reopens in Warsaw with new original exhibits
A baroque Warsaw mansion hosting a museum dedicated to one of Europe's greatest 19th century musicians, Polish pianist and composer Frederic Chopin, was reopened at the weekend with a new focus on original artifacts after months of pandemic-spurred renovations.

A peeling portrait of Frederic Chopin purchased at a flea market in Poland hung modestly in a private house for almost three decades before an expert dated the painting to the 19th century when the Polish piano composer lived.

Award-winning Polish pianist Anna Miernik, hailed as one of the country's greatest young talents right now, has been invited to perform at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall's tribute to Frederic Chopin on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the French composer's death. Apart from Chopin pieces, the program also includes a selection of works by Polish composers he inspired.
