Aris soccer club is relegated to the third division

Popular Thessaloniki club Aris will not play in the second division this season, following its relegation from the Super League in spring, but will go straight to the third division, the top tier of amateur soccer in Greece.
Anastasiadis returns as PAOK manager
Cup finalist PAOK named Angelos Anastasiadis as coach after reaching a two-year deal on Monday.
The 61-year-old former player and coach the northern Greek club returned to Thessaloniki after a 10-year absence, backed by the owner, Greek-Russian businessman Ivan Savvidis.

4,000 officers to police Greek Cup final
Police says it will ban mass gatherings in central Athens amid heavy security measures planned for Saturday's Greek Cup final between Panathinaikos and PAOK at the Olympic Stadium.
More than 4,000 officers will be on duty for the event, escorting PAOK from the northern city of Thessaloniki and enforcing the ban in Athens that will be in effect for 14 hours.
