Reports point to economic recovery but also the risks

The Greek economy may be rebounding, but there are still risks that could derail this recovery, according to three separate studies published on Thursday by the Center of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE), BNP Paribas and the Economist.

Venizelos holds 'friendly' and 'positive' meeting with Papandreou

Deputy prime minister and current PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos met with former premier George Papandreou in Athens on Thursday.

Teleconference for Hardouvelis and troika on Thursday

A teleconference conference between Greek Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis and representatives of Greece’s creditors, collectively known as the troika, was scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon, Kathimerini understands.

The meeting’s agenda was expected to focus on proposals forwarded to the troika by the Greek government late on Wednesday.

Papantoniou second ‘pothen esches’ trial postponed

The trial of former minister Yannos Papantoniou and his wife, Stavroula Kourakou, for submitting inaccurate “pothen esches” (declaration of source of income) forms for 2008 was postponed to June 8, 2015, an Athens court ruled on Wednesday. The decision was reached following a strike by lawyers.

To Potami chief meets PM in push to change Greek electoral law

Stavros Theodorakis, leader of the centrist To Potami party, will meet with conservative Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

It will be the first official meeting between the two leaders. Scheduled talks between the two were cancelled in October after Samaras called for a confidence vote.
