German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble warned that the ?far greater risk? in resolving the Greek crisis is the harm a weak deal could do to the credibility of the euro.
Greek PM’s statements before the European Council Summit
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, while arriving before the European Council Summit, made the following statement:
“I think that European history is full of disagreements, negotiations and in the end, compromises. So, after the comprehensive Greek proposals, I am confident that we will reach a compromise that will help Eurozone and Greece to overcome the crisis”.
Ball in EU's court, says Tsipras
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said Monday it was now up to European authorities to find a debt deal to save Athens from default, after the government submitted a reform plan to Brussels.
"The ball is in the court of the European authorities," radical leftist leader Tsipras told reporters after an emergency eurozone summit in Brussels.
