Prosecutor in central Greece opens probe into child deaths

A prosecutor in Lamia, central Greece, has ordered an investigation into the deaths of two children - a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy - after being treated for peritonitis at the city's general hospital and their subsequent transfer to the capital's Aglaia Kyriakou children's hospital.

Axion Hellas renovates small outpost in eastern Aegean island

Axion Hellas, a Greek non-profit orrganization, recently rerenovated fully a small military outpost on the small island of Psarra, in the eastern Aegean, with the donation of two prominent members of the Greek maritime community.

The organization is funded exclusively by its members and private sponsors, without ever receiving economic support from the Greek state.
