Guitar smashed by Cobain sells for nearly $600,000
A guitar smashed on stage by Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain sold for nearly $600,000, several times its original estimate, an auction house said on May 20.
The busted black Fender Stratocaster has been put back together, but is no longer playable, Kody Frederick of Julien's Auctions told AFP earlier this month.

Turkish artist gives Nirvana classical spin
Turkish pianist Ay?e Deniz Gökçin, who lives in London, has returned at the same time to both the classical and grunge scenes, following her Pink Floyd Classical Concept album that was sold thousands, with the "#NirvanaProject." The album is currently in the top 10 iTunes Classical Albums Charts, a first for Nirvana!

Kurt Cobain's 'solo album' to come out soon
An album of unreleased music by grunge icon Kurt Cobain will come out in November to accompany a documentary on the late Nirvana frontman, the director has said.
In researching ?Montage of Heck,? filmmaker Brett Morgen discovered more than 100 early cassettes recorded by Cobain, who grew up in the lumber town of Aberdeen, Washington.
