Greece challenges Libya declaration of 24 nm contiguous zone
In a letter to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Greece's permanent representative to the organization, Evangelos Sekeris, says that Libya's recent decision to declare a 24-nautical mile contiguous zone, extending beyond its 12-nautical mile territorial sea, violates international law in three key respects.

BELGRADE -- No Serbian citizens were abducted on Tuesday in the town of Sirte, Serbian Ambassador to Libya Oliver Potezica has said.
Earlier in the day, U.S. broadcaster CNN reported that Islamic State (IS) terrorists had abducted 20 medical workers, "Serbians among them."

First group of Turks threatened by Libyan general returns to Turkey
The first group of Turkish nationals who were evacuated from Libya returned to Turkey on June 24 after they were threatened with arrest on spying claims.
Some 248 Turkish citizens, working for the construction company GAMA in the central coast city of Sirte, have returned to Turkey with a Turkish Airlines (THY) flight from Misrata in northwest Libya.
