Phone Call Between Blinken and Fidan on Gaza and the Middle East

Turkey will bid to join ICJ genocide case against Israel, source tells Reuters

Turkey will submit on Wednesday a declaration of intervention in South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague, a diplomatic source said.

The declaration will happen at 1330 GMT, the source added, after Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this week that Turkey would make the declaration on Wednesday.

'No peace in Mideast until Palestine state founded': FM

There will be no peace in the Mideast until a Palestinian state is founded, warned the Turkish foreign minister.

"Palestinians are being prevented from truly having a state … (But) until a Palestinian state is established, no one in that region will have peace," Fidan said in a new magazine interview out this week.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared Türkiye's commitment to acting as a guarantor of peace amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Turkish FM visits Egypt amid thaw in relations

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Egypt on Aug. 4 for a two-day visit aimed at improving relations between Ankara and Cairo.

The visit made at the invitation of Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty will include discussions on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, according to a statement from Türkiye's Foreign Ministry.
