Turkish jets destroy PKK hideouts in northern Iraq
Turkish jets have destroyed weapon depots and hideouts used by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Sept. 24.
It said warplanes carried out an airstrike in the Gara region on Sept. 23 and destroyed arms and ammunition depots used by PKK militants.

Two PKK militants killed while attempting to infiltrate military base in Turkey's Hakkari
Two outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were killed by Turkish jets after they attempted to infiltrate a military base in the southeastern province of Hakkari, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on June 13.
642 militants 'neutralized' in Turkey since 2017: Ministry
A total of 642 militants have been neutralized in Turkey since 2017, the Turkish Interior Ministry said on May 22, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
In a report on counter-terrorism, the ministry said 4,786 operations were conducted since Jan. 1.
Some 642 militants were neutralized, with 316 of them captured dead and 133 of them surrendered, it said.
