Malaysia is launching the world’s first Sharia-compliant airline, Rayani Airlines. The low-cost airline follows Sharia rules based on guidelines available. Rules include mandatory hijabs for female Muslim cabin crew and non-Muslims must also be dressed decently.

Prayers will be recited before departure and alcohol is strictly forbidden. Food and beverages will be halal.

An illegitimate "Halal KFC" restaurant has been closed in Iran within days of its opening as the parent company in the United States is seeking legal action over the opening, as reported by Al Arabiya News. The restaurant manager, however, said the restaurant was a part of a brand known as Halal KFC, which comes from Turkey.

BELGRADE - Representatives of the Islamic Community of Serbia (IZS) held a meeting on Thursday at the Serbian Business Club "Privrednik" to discuss the possibility of cooperation with the producers of halal food, which is based on strict Islamic dietary requirements.
