Czech Embassy in Sofia Honors Prague Shooting Victims with Half-Mast Flag Tribute

Amidst a national day of mourning, the Czech Republic's embassy in Bulgaria solemnly lowered its flag to half-mast, paying tribute to the victims of the tragic mass shooting at Prague University. In a poignant display of remembrance, flickering mourning candles now stand in front of the embassy building in Sofia, joined by the EU flag also flying at half-mast.

Days of mourning have begun in Serbia

In accordance with the Law on Marking the Day of Mourning, certain rules are prescribed.
The regulations on the manner of marking the day of mourning state that authorities and organizations, as well as other legal entities that display the flag, are obliged to lower the flag of the Republic of Serbia to half-mast, i.e. at half mast, with appropriate lighting at night.

National Day of Mourning for Victims of Bus Crash near Svoge

Sofia. Today is a day of national mourning for the victims of the heavy bus crash near Svoge on August 25. In memory of the victims, the national flags at all state institutions will fly at half mast. 16 died in the tragic incident, while 21 were injured. Most of the victims were from the village of Svetovrachene, including a 13-year-old boy.

European Commission flags lowered to half-mast in honor of Greek wildfires victims

The European flags at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels were flying at half-mast on Wednesday to pay tribute to the victims of the devastating wildfires that hit Greece this week.

"We stand with the Greek people in solidarity at this difficult time," the Commission said in a tweet.
