"Bulgaria Air" has kicked off a new autumn promotion, offering discounts on flights to 11 European destinations. The campaign, which began on November 1, runs until November 24, with discounted tickets valid for travel until the end of the winter season on March 30, 2025.

Starting September 1, European airports will reintroduce an old regulation regarding the transport of liquids in hand luggage, according to DPA. Containers with a capacity exceeding 100 ml will once again be prohibited from being carried in hand luggage. Passengers must place these items in special transparent bags with a resealable mechanism during security checks.

Bulgaria Air is this month starting flights from Sofia to Iraklio Airport on Crete, the Bulgarian air carrier has announced.

Flights will operate every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the summer season, from June to October.

In line with the latest environmental regulations, items confiscated due to liquid restrictions in hand luggage will be sorted according to waste codes and electric or eco-friendly vehicles will be used at airports, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) has announced.

Turkish Airlines' flight suspension due to coronavirus has been extended into early to mid-June, the national flag carrier has announced.

Domestic flights are now suspended until June 4 and international flights until June 10, said an airline statement late on May 20. 

The earlier suspension lasted until May 28.

BELGRADE - Avoilet, a new charter airline from Serbia, which is owned by Air Serbia, has been opened at the Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade.

The flights will cover Egypt, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey during this year's summer season, Air Serbia said on Friday.

Aviolet will use Boeing B737-300, which have a spacious economy class with 144 seats.
