BNR's Board decides to keep unchanged monetary policy rate at 2.50pct per annum
The Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) on Wednesday's meeting decided to keep unchanged the monetary policy rate at 2.50 percent per annum, according to a press release sent to AGERPRES.
Bulgaria Inflation Holds Steady In August
Bulgaria's consumer price inflation remained stable in August, after accelerating in the previous three months, figures from the National Statistical Institute showed Thursday.
Inflation came in at 3.5 percent in August, the same rate as in July. Consumer prices have been rising since December 2016.

Annual inflation rate goes up to 5.1 pct in August
The annual inflation rate increased in August to 5.1 pct, from 4.56 pct in July, when the prices of non-food goods rose by 6.78 pct compared to the same month last year, the food products by 4.15 pct and services by 2.61 pct, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Bulgaria Inflation Accelerates Further In June
(RTTNews) - Bulgaria's consumer price inflation accelerated for the second straight month in June, figures from the National Statistical Institute showed Monday.
Inflation rose to 3.2 percent in June from 2.6 percent in May. Consumer prices have been rising since December 2016.

Romania's annual inflation rate drops insignificatly to 5.4pct in June
Romania's inflation rate stood at 5.4 percent in June 2018, slightly declining by 0.01 percentage points compared to the previous month (5.41 percent) due to a 3.86-percent increase in prices for food, a 7.82-percent increase in non-food prices and a 2.58-percent increase in service fees, according to the data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
April 2018 monthly inflation advances to 5.2pct in Romania
Monthly inflation in Romania advanced to 5.2 percent in March 2018, from 5 percent the month before, on a 7.2-percent increase in prices for non-food goods, a 4-percent increase in food prices and a 2.83-percent increase in services fees.
A higher annual inflation rate was recorded in June 2013, when consumer prices rose by 5.37 percent.
0.6% Monthly Inflation For October 2017
The consumer price index in October 2017 compared to September 2017 was 100.6%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.6%. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (October 2017 compared to December 2016) has been 1.9% and the annual inflation in October 2017 compared to October 2016 was 2.5%.

1.3% Inflation in Bulgaria Since the Beginning of 2017
The consumer price index in September 2017 compared to August 2017 was 100.2%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.2%, according to data of the National Statistical Institute. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (September 2017 compared to December 2016) has been 1.3% and the annual inflation in September 2017 compared to September 2016 was 2.1%.
Inflation in Bulgaria Reaches 1.1% Since the Beginning of the Year
The consumer price index in August 2017 compared to July 2017 was 100.1%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.1%.
Inflation in Bulgaria Reaches 1% Since Beginning of 2017
The consumer price index in July 2017 compared to June 2017 was 100.3%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.3%. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (July 2017 compared to December 2016) has been 1.0% and the annual inflation in July 2017 compared to July 2016 was 1.3% (Figure 1 and Annex, Table 1).
