A lamb, revived and rescued in central Turkey, was named "Hayat", or "Life" by its saviors.

In a move to support innovation in Turkey's financial sector, the EBRD has said it is providing a syndicated loan of 120 million Turkish Liras (36 million-euro equivalent) to Hayat Varlık, the largest non-performing loans (NPL) and asset management company in the country, in a statement. 

Paris has been reluctant in anti-terrorism cooperation following last week's deadly attacks in France by militants with international links, according to the Turkish authorities.

The spouse of one of the suspected Paris attackers had crossed into Syria from Turkey the day before her husband held hostages at a Jewish supermarket in the French capital last week, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Monday.

Thousands of police deployed near Jewish schools

PARIS -- Almost 5,000 members of the French police will guard Jewish schools, it has been announced in Paris.

Prime Minister Manuel Valls also said that the search continues for an accomplice of Amedy Coulibaly.

Hayat Boumeddiene, the wanted partner of one of the gunmen shot dead by police after three days of high drama in France, arrived in Turkey before the killings and may now be in Syria, a Turkish security source told AFP Saturday.
      
"She entered Turkey on January 2," the source said, adding that Boumeddiene had a return ticket from Madrid to Istanbul.
      

The lone remaining suspect wanted in connection with a spree of terrorism in France -- Hayat Boumeddiene -- entered Turkey on January 2, a Turkish prime ministry source told CNN on Jan. 10.

Police have denied their own previous reports that two people had been killed after a shootout in a Kosher supermarket in Paris, France.

An unknown number of people are being held hostage.

Several hostages were freed after French commandos stormed a Jewish supermarket in eastern Paris where an assailant was holed up on Friday.
      
After several explosions, police stormed the shop in Portes de Vincennes and several hostages exited the store shortly afterwards and were taken to safety.

Five people were killed, including the gunman, sources said.
