Hazards of outdoor recreation

Two 20-year-old Spanish tourists were injured on Monday afternoon following a rockfall on a road close to Delphi's Castalian Spring. The incident occurred around 5 pm, with both tourists subsequently transported to the Amfissa hospital for treatment.

In the aftermath of last week's rockfall that claimed the life of a 35-year-old Ukrainian woman, experts are analyzing data and exploring a range of interventions to mitigate risks from severe natural events in western Crete's Samaria Gorge.

Turkey's eastern provinces have been hit by heavy snowfalls in the middle of April, with the snow depth reaching some 20 centimeters in the center of Kars, a province bordering Armenia.

"People swim at the Aegean coasts, we are shoveling snow here in April," Güven Öztürk, a resident of Kars, told Demirören News Agency on April 13.
