Greek Armed Forces to decommission 10 military camps in restructuring plan
The Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA) announced on Monday the planned decommissioning of several military camps across Greece as part of Defense Minister Nikos Dendias' initiative to reorganize the armed forces.

Multinational Iniochos air force drill starts Monday
This year's edition of the multinational air force exercise Iniochos will kick off on Monday.
The drill, which will run until April 18, is organized every year at Andravida Air Base in Western Greece by the Hellenic Air Force, and will be conducted in the greater area of the Athens Flight Information Region.
Greek-Egyptian armed forces exercise canceled due to war in Middle East
This year's joint armed forces exercise between Greece and Egypt named Medusa-13, which was scheduled to take place at the Myrtoan Sea and Crete on November 16-24 has been canceled due to the ongoing war in Israel, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff announced on Friday.
The cancelation was requested by Egypt and will take place next year, it added.
HATTA confident of no problems with visitor numbers
The president of the Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourist Agencies (HATTA), Lysandros Tsilidis, has said that the summer season and especially August is not expected to see a drop in tourism flows to Greece as a result of the wildfires on Rhodes and other destinations.
Greek, Cypriot and US special forces hold joint exercise
Special forces from Greece, Cyprus and the United States are holding a joint exercise in the sea area off the naval base at Souda Bay on the southern Greek island of Crete, state-run Athens-Macedonia news agency (ANA-MPA) reports.
According to the same report, the trilateral drill is designed to enhance cooperation and interoperability between the forces.
Greek, UAE naval units conduct 3-day exercise
Naval units from Greece and the United Arab Emirates are seen taking part in a joint three-day military exercise in the Eastern Mediterranean which wrapped up on Tuesday. The drill, which involved one UAE corvette, two Greek frigates and Hellenic Air Force aircraft, focused on communications, anti-aircraft warfare and fast-roping from helicopters.
