Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime, especially during Easter.

More than 30 hermitages and worship places dug in stone hundreds of years ago were unearthed in the southeastern County of Buzau, a release of the 100Tracks cartography team sent to AGERPRES on Thursday informs.

On the weekend of May 13-14, 2017, the transposition of the relics of St. Nicholas Archbishop of Myra in Lycia was celebrated at the hermitage that bears his name in the city of Rättvik, Sweden, located three hours north of Stockholm. Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia officiated the service of Great Vespers on Saturday, which was followed by a dinner reception courtesy of Mrs.

According to TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Award, the Acropolis Museum was voted the 9th best in the world and the 5th best in Europe. Here are the two lists:

One of the Athens Acropolis’ finest and best-preserved korai – the archaic statues depicting young women – will be exhibited at the Roman Courtyard of the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg on Friday.

The statue, which leaves Greece for the first time, is travelling to Russia in the framework of a cultural exchange program organised for the Year of Greece and Russia 2016.

The cultural events marking ‘The Year of Russia in Greece’ will commence Friday, March 11. Some exquisite exhibits of the of the Hermitage museum in Moscow will be on display at the Acropolis museum this Friday.
