Vucic meets with delegation of China's Hebei province
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Wednesday with a delegation of China's Hebei province, headed by Hebei Chinese Communist Party Provincial Committee Secretary Ni Yuefeng, to discuss strengthening the Sino-Serbian strategic partnership and advancement of cooperation in development of green/low-carbon steel and the economy, commerce, logistics and technology.
Brnabić: Xi Jinping hinted coming to Serbia next year
Brnabi stated this in Beijing.
"It is a big deal for us, for our country and all our citizens. We have confirmed mutual partnership, support, friendship in the political and economic sense," Brnabi told reporters.
In the political sense, as she stated, China will never change its position on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
Vucic, HBIS delegation discuss plans for further investments in Serbia
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a delegation of the Chinese HBIS Group on Tuesday to discuss the company's plans for further investments in Serbia.
"Huge" Chinese-Serbian free zone master plan draft complete
The master plan should be adopted by the end of the year in the Assembly of the town od Smederevo, in order to start construction in 2019.
Brnabic pointed out that the zone should be completed by 2022, but that the first phase will create 2,300 new jobs.
Fiat, Hesteel, and Gazprom-owned companies top Serbian list
Topping this list is Fiat (FCA) Serbia (majority-owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), that sold cars worth EUR 599.6 million, followed by HBIS Group (owned by China's Hesteel), who operate the Smederevo-based steel plant - and have exported products worth EUR 581.4 million in this period.

EC excludes Serbia from anti-dumping probe on steel imports
BRUSSELS - The European Commission (EC) has excluded Serbia from an anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled coil (HRC) imported from five countries, says a preliminary EC document seen by the Metal Bulletin portal.
This means that Serbia's Smederevo steel mill, owned by China's Hesteel Group, will be paying no penalties.

HBIS Group posts best result since taking over Zelezara Smederevo
HBIS Group Serbia Iron and Steel (Hesteel) has received USD 77 million in revenues from the sale of over 120,000 tons of finished steel products in May.
The company announced that this was "the greatest success in the year since since the arrival HBIS in Serbia."
