Traffic was suspended on Friday morning near the Trupale loop on the Belgrade-Nis highway due to bad weather.

Contract for construction of bridge across Sava River
The public company Putevi Srbije (Roads of Serbia) and an Austrian consortium have singed a contract to build a second bridge across the Sava near Ostruznica.
The bridge, a part of the Belgrade bypass road, will be 1,964 meters long.
Drivers advised to expect snow on Serbian roads
The public enterprise Putevi Srbije (Roads of Serbia) has called on all traffic participants to exercise caution and use appropriate equipment.
The advisory came as the country's hydro-meteorological authority, RHMZ, announced snowfall in western, southwestern, and central Serbia by the end of Friday.

Chinese want "guarantees, not concession"
BELGRADE -- Zorana Mihajlovic says Serbia is conducting "difficult negotiations with Chinese on a concession on parts of a highway from Belgrade to the Montenegrin border."
The Serbian minister of construction, transport and infrastructure spoke on Monday to add that the talks have so far lasted a month and a half.

Mihajlovic: Chinese companies did not renounce concession
BELGRADE - Chinese companies did not renounce the planned concession on the section of the motorway through western Serbia but they are asking for additional guarantees for traffic frequency on the road from Belgrade to southern Adriatic, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic stated.
13 Bulgarians Injured in Traffic Accident in Serbia
Four Bulgarians were seriously injured and nine others suffered lighter injuries in a serious traffic accident after midnight.
The incident happened at 24.30 EET near Backa Topola in Serbia.
Border wait times from 30 to 80 minutes
BELGRADE – Wait times at Serbia’s borders with Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria were between 30 and 80 minutes on Thursday afternoon.
Drivers wait about 30 minutes when crossing the border from Serbia to Croatia at Batrovci, the Serbian Interior Ministry Media Cooperation Bureau said in a release.

Hundreds Evacuated As Floods Hit Serbia
Heavy rain that started on Tuesday night and has not stopped since then has blocked most major roads in Serbia, while emergency situations have been declared in 18 municipalities.
The most critical situation is in central Serbia, in the town of Cacak, where around 160 homes have been evacuated and most roads in the area are blocked.
