New Attractions in the Lovech Medieval Fortress

A Little Boy Drowned Near Plovdiv

A little boy has drowned in 'Pyasachnik' dam near Plovdiv village Belovitsa. He was fishing with his father who called the emergency service. The incident happened around 14:30 on Thursday. 

A crew from sector 'Specialised operative actions' in cooperation with servants from the police in Hisarya have pulled out the body of the already dead 5-year-old boy.

Bulgaria, Romania to Offer Joint Spa Holiday Packages from 2016

Bulgaria and Romania will start offering joint spa holiday packages to tourists from the beginning of next year.

The package, which is part of the EU-funded project "Roman Thermal Spas of Europe", will offer to tourists the opportunity to stay at two spa resorts - one in Bulgaria and one in Romania.

The Bulgarian National Revenue Agency has impounded assets operated by firms connected to Tsvetan Vasilev, majority owner of collapsed Corporate Commercial Bank (Corpbank or KTB).

The shares of a company owning several hotels have been impounded, Pressa daily reported.

Archaeologists Unearth Lion's Head, Tablet With Nymphs In Hisarya

Archaeologists from Bulgaria's Hisarya Archaeological Museum unearthed a lion's head, a consecrated tablet with nymphs and a part of a life size statue, reports Dnes.bg.

According to the director of the town museum, Mitko Madzharov, the artifacts were dated end of II and beginning of III c. AD and prove that the settlement existed before the rule of the Roman emperor Diocletian.
