Israel has confirmed its involvement in the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, marking a significant escalation in the region. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made the acknowledgment during a speech on Monday, issuing a direct warning to the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The IDF said it carried out a drone attack against a rocket launcher of Hezbollah that was spotted in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon earlier today.

The launcher “posed a threat to the State of Israel and violated agreements between Israel and Lebanon,” the Israeli military said.

Hezbollah launched two missiles at Mount Dov in northern Israel on Monday, marking the first direct attack since a ceasefire between the group and Israel took effect last week. The missiles landed in open areas, causing no casualties, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

After a ceasefire with Hezbollah went into effect early this morning in Lebanon, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Kats said that the “ultimate goal” is the release of hostages still being held in the Gaza Strip.

Türkiye welcomes the cease-fire deal between Lebanon and Israel, Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

"We welcome the successful conclusion of the negotiations to establish a ceasefire in Lebanon and hope that the ceasefire will be permanent," the ministry said in a statement.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned that humanity has never been so close to the "clash of civilizations," adding that this is "a warning for humanity."

"We have never been this close to the clash of civilizations in real terms, there is a warning for humanity," said Fidan during his address at the 10th U.N. Alliance of Civilization Initiative Meeting in Portugal.

German federal prosecutors have brought charges against four suspected members of Hamas, accusing them of involvement in establishing and managing weapons depots across Europe.

The IDF has advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that now is the appropriate time to implement a ceasefire in Lebanon, Channel 12 reported on Monday, citing a close associate of the Israeli Prime Minister.
