For the first time, a hotel from a non-German-speaking country has made it into the top 50 of Europe's most popular family hotels.

For the fourth consecutive year, Workathlon, a company which offers innovative recruiting solutions for the hospitality industry, is organizing its annual Hospitality Career Days events. 

More than 5,000 tourism professionals and 60 emblematic hotels participated in last year's Career Days events, which took place in Thessaloniki, Crete and Athens.

A considerable section of the food service industry, from neighborhood kebab shops to luxurious restaurants and hotels, are gearing up to prepare special Christmas and New Year's meals for home delivery in a bid to claw back some of this year's losses.

The first few rays of sunshine have started to reach Greek tourism through the dark clouds of the pandemic, as the telephones at hotels have started ringing again and the websites of the major German tour operators are seeing visitor numbers growing.
