Macedonia mulls building border wall to deal with migrants
Macedonia is considering build a wall on its southern border with Greece - like the one Hungary is building on the border with Serbia.
The goal of the barrier would be to stem the flow of migrants coming into the country, Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Poposko has said.
Hungary shuts border crossing after migrants escape
Hungary shut its main border crossing with Serbia on Sept. 4 after about 300 migrants escaped from a nearby refugee camp, police said.
Migrants cut through Hungary's border fence
A group of 18 illegal migrants has cut through a wire fence that Hungary is building on its border with Serbia, the Hungarian M1 TV channel has reported.
The incident happened near the town of Asotthalom on Thursday when the migrants attempted to cross into Hungary, but were detained by the police.

"Over 100,000 migrants cross into Hungary from Serbia"
A total of 100,959 illegal migrants arrived in Hungary since the beginning of the year- 100,208 entered the country by crossing the Serbian-Hungarian border.
That is what Hungary' Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Friday.
Orban: Fence on Hungary-Serbia border by August 31
Hungarian PM Viktor Orban announced on Saturday that the 175-km fence on the Hungarian-Serbian border would be completed by August 31.
The fence is meant to prevent illegal migrants from third countries crossing from Serbia to Hungary.

Migrants say Hungarian wall "won't stop them"
The Hungarian army has started building a fence along the border with Serbia in a bid to keep migrants from crossing into the country.
At the same time, migrants who come to Serbia from third countries continue to arrive at the northern border. B92's reporters went to both sides.

Hungary Starts Building Fence On Serbian Border
The Hungarian Army on Monday started to prepare the terrain near Morahalom, a small southern border town of about 6,000 people, for the erection of a four-metre-high fence designed to stop illegal migrants.
The authorities are only erecting an "experimental" fence, here however, no more than 150 metres long.

Hungary's border fence to take "several months"
The construction of a temporary fence along the border between Hungary and Serbia will take several months, Hungarian FM Peter Szijjarto has said.
He told the M1 broadcaster that works will begin simultaneously on ten locations, "mostly in those areas that are most under threat from migrants - so that it is clear to everyone that Hungary will put an end to such illegal practice."

Serbian PM Condemns Hungarian Border Fence
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic told the Serbian public broadcaster RTS on June 17 that he was "surprised and shocked" by the Hungarian decision to fence off the border to stop migrants from entering the country.

Hungary to Fence Off Serbia Border to Stop Migrants
Peter Szijjarto, the Foreign Minister of Hungary, said on June 17 that illegal migration is one of the most serious problems facing the European Union and has announced that Hungary will fence off the border with Serbia - one of the main transit routes to Western Europe.
