Greece's J&P AVAX filed the lowest offer in a tender to design and build a gas pipeline between Bulgaria and Greece, project manager ICGB said on Tuesday, reports Ekathimerini.

The BRUA gas pipeline is fundamental for the European Commission and it is important for the gas to reach Austria regardless of the route to be decided, European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Canete said on Tuesday in Bucharest.

Transgaz published on its site the announcements regarding the sale by auction of the export -import capacities of gas from and to Hungary and Bulgaria for the gas year 2018 - 2019.

National gas transmission company Transgaz announces having kicked off on Monday the construction of the BRUA pipeline, a project of national interest, namely Phase I, according to a press release by the Ministry of Economy.
