Internet set to cut cord with US government this year
A plan to end a key U.S. government oversight role on the Internet is on track for completion this year, the head of the online address gatekeeper said, in a symbolic move toward asserting the independence of the web.
ICANN Approves Bulgaria's National Domain .BG in Cyrillic
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has approved the national domain of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said, Tuesday.
This means that soon it will be possible to buy Internet domains which will be written entirely in Cyrillic.
