Italy's Salento University honored famed Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek on Nov. 15.

An acclaimed Turkish film director Ferzan Özpetek received Italian Order of Merit, country's highest honor, in Rome on Nov. 4.

Turkish Director Ferzan Özpetek will be awarded the Honor Palm at the 34th Valencia Film Festival for Mediterranean Cinema.

Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek, who lives in Italy, has said his 13th feature film titled "La Dea Fortuna" (The Fortune Goddess) will be released in Italy.

Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek, who has been living in Italy, received the Special Soundtrack Stars Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Acclaimed Turkish director and scriptwriter Ferzan Özpetek, who lives in Italy, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 55th International Antalya Film Festival this year.

The 4th Turkish Film Festival, organized in the Italian capital of Rome, opened on April 16 with a gala event. Veteran singer and actress Hümeyra was presented with the Honorary Award at the opening.

Rome is going crazy for Turkish films, according to Italy-based Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek, the honorary president of the fourth Rome Turkish Film Festival, which will be held between April 15 and 19 in the Eternal City.
