The chairman of the National Committee of Coordinating Activities regarding immunization against SARS-CoV-2, Dr. Valeriu Gheorghita, announced on Tuesday, that there are currently 1,062 vaccination centers, with approximately 1,495 active flows, where there can be a maximum capacity of 115,000 people per day, if all available positions were to be filled up.

There are 1,352 new cases of coronavirus per day. This means that 14.83 percent of the samples are positive, according to the data in the Unified Information Portal.

The number of people with coronavirus in intensive care units in Bulgaria has decreased for the last 24 hours from 812 to 801. However, the total number of hospitalized has increased per day from 10,271 to 10,365.

Vaccination may become an essential condition for getting a job at certain institutions, State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev said in an interview for Nova TV. He also said he had sent a letter to the minister of labor and social policy asking to launch an awareness campaign on the importance of Covid-19vaccination among social care workers.

President Klaus Iohannis said on Thursday that Romania will receive a significant number of COVID-19 vaccine doses moving forward, adding that consequently the vaccination campaign could speed up. Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis announced the country's plan for a restart of tourism from May 15. According to tour operators, active bookings for the tourist season have already begun, both from European countries, as well as from the US and Russia.

The manager of the Timisoara County Hospital, Dr. Raul Patrascu, announced on Thursday that the unit will open the first vaccination center in Romania that will operate non-stop, and it should become operational on March 23. The center will have four flows per day and per night, so that the vaccination capacity, in 24 hours, will be 480 people.

Health Ministry's Secretary of State Andrei Baciu told AGERPRES on Friday that during the day 9,000 people scheduled for immunization with vaccine from AstraZeneca withdrew, but another 5,740 scheduled on the places left vacant. "Of the 200,000 people registered for vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine, 9,000 withdrew today.

Specialists of the National Committee for the Coordination of anti-COVID-19 Vaccination Activities (CNCAV) state that "there are no scientific and regulatory reasons for discontinuing the vaccination with AstraZeneca." There are currently 4.182 patients hospitalized in Serbia, of which 169 are on respirators.
In the last 24 hours, 13.087 people were tested.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Serbia, a total of 482.397 cases of infection have been confirmed, and 4.542 patients have died.
The mortality rate is 0.94 percent.
